The Friuli - Venezia Giulia region

Golden jackal (Canis aureus)

the largest land mammal in Europe. Males can weigh up to 900 kg, and females 600 kg. It feeds mainly on grass, leaves, shoots and bark of trees and shrubs

European deer (Cervus elaphus elaphus)

 a species of large land mammal from the deer family. During the day it hides in forest thickets and starts feeding after dusk. The head is fed with shoots, leaves, bark, and fruit of trees and shrubs.
